My Entrepreneurship Story Entrepreneurship. Some people find this word intimidating; however, my family has a lengthy history of taking the bull by the horns. Let’s begin with my grandpa on my mom’s side, he began working as an electrician in the 1970s alongside my great-uncle. Together, they formed their own electrical business which is still operating to this day. On my dad’s side of my family my grandpa owned and operated a moving company which he built from the ground up. Eventually, he had five different locations across the country. Then, there’s my mom’s mother, my Mimi. She bought a balloon shop and a floral shop. She combined the two and was a successful florist for 15 years. My grandparents’ business ventures must have encouraged my parents to do the same. Today, my dad and mom own an electrical business.
