Reading Reflection No.3 27A

1. The theme of the book I read is that as an entrepreneur you will have a multitude of failures but through those failures, you will find success. 2. The book discussed that a majority of failures will have something good come out of them such as an increased social network. Overall, the book relates to ENT3003 because it discusses an entrepreneur’s failed ventures and successful ventures and everything in between. 3. If I had to design an assignment for this book I would have students think of two or three failures that they have had and the benefits that they got from those failures. 4. Prior to reading the book, I didn’t realize that entrepreneurs often have an abundance of unsuccessful ventures. After reading the book, I am more eager to go for my dreams even if they are trivial or seem silly. Now I know that I can gain a lot from my failures.

Final Reflection 30A

1.     I found it interesting to read my previous posts and see how my product has changed throughout the semester. My low was not completing the first elevator pitch. I had a lot going on at the time it was due, and I decided to take a zero instead of completing it. Which I am really disappointed about because after completing the second elevator pitch, I realized it was a breeze. My highest point of the semester was deciding on my opportunity. Initially, I was having trouble deciding what opportunity to choose and how I would meet customer needs. 2.     My most profound experience was some of the interviews. I didn’t realize how impactful and useful the interviews would be. At the beginning of the course, I was dreading all of the interviews, but after the first few I realized that they’re not difficult and nothing to be nervous about. I’m really proud of myself for completing the last two elevator pitches and learning from feedback ...

Elevator Pitch No. 2 17A

Click the link below to view my elevator pitch: Elevator Pitch No. 2                                                                   Reflection I did not complete the first elevator pitch. I reviewed comments for other’s elevator pitches and used those to help mine, such as, having an interesting hook. I made sure to speak clearly and passionately to get my audience interested. I’m not too sure about the costs for production but I think this is something that can be changed as time goes on with this project.

Venture Concept No. 2 29A

Opportunity ·       Potential customers are likely young women and possibly their parents or siblings. The young women feel worried when they are out alone and they want more protection. Therefore, the nature of the need is fear. ·       This opportunity exists because there are a multitude of crimes against women every day so, women want to feel protected. I strongly believe that girls are taught to be cautious and fearful, whereas, boys are not. I have discussed this with my husband and he confirmed that when he went out alone, his parents didn’t warn him of dangers, kidnap, or rape. My parents were always reminding my sisters and I that there are people out there that we should be scared of and that you never know if that person is a stranger or your neighbor. Also, they discussed kidnapping with us, we were told not to get in cars with anyone, always watch our surroundings, what to do if someone grabbed us, etc....
