Bugs List 2A

Bugs list

1. Listening to kids tv shows while my 4 year old son watches tv
Why it exists: The TV is in the living room and I allow my son to watch it for some time during each da.
2. Sitting in traffic around 2:30 pm on SR17 trying to get to I-295
Why it exists: A lot of people trying to leave the military base at one time and not enough lanes for everyone to leave quickly.
3. Not being able to do homework using cellular data, instead, having to connect to wifi
Why it exists: My data plan is not unlimited so I only have so many GBs each month to use. Usually, doing homework using the data takes up a significant amount. I do not have wifi so I have to go to a place with wifi.
4. Having a short cell phone charger
Why it exists: Shorter cell phone charger is more convenient because it’s easier to store
5. The bright sun shining in the windows
Why it exists: I do not have blinds on all of my windows because it’s not as visually appealing to have blinds on them all. Also, I’m living in a camper right now and the direction that it is facing means that the sun rises on the side with the most windows.
6. Rearranging the refrigerator every time I get something out of it or putting something in it
Why it exists: Small refrigerator with too much stuff in it
7. Moving everything around multiple times while cooking
Why it exists: Camper does not have much counter space besides the kitchen table, so it is difficult to prep and cook
8. Almost every time I unlock my door with the key, I put the wrong key in first. So, it takes more time to open the door.
Why it exists: Two keys are identical but only one unlocks the front door.
9. Not always being able to fall asleep quickly
Why it exists: Overthinking about relationships, money, arguments, the future
10.  Paying for car insurance when I haven’t made a claim in years
Why it exists: Required to have insurance and the unknown about future accidents and needs for insurance
11.  I have 2 chickens and a rooster and when I get the eggs, the rooster tries to peck me.
Why it exists: The rooster is protective and wants to be dominant. There is no way to block him from getting into the house where they lay the eggs.
12.  Getting the eggs is sometimes difficult
Why it exists: The door is small and the chickens lay the eggs toward the back
13.  Cell phone chargers breaking easily
Why it exists: The material that they are made of is not durable and people bend the cord.
14.   Trying to balance while flushing the toilet with my foot in public restrooms
Why it exists: The handle is dirty from people touching it with dirty hands and germs flying out of the toilet when it is flushed, so I don’t want to touch it with my hand
15.  Having ants and rain water in my outside trash can
Why it exists: It is an indoor trash can, but the camper is too small to keep it inside. It will make the entire camper smell like trash. Also, it has a swinging lid so it does not keep rain and ants out of it.
16.  Mosquitos and yellow flies biting me
Why it exists: It’s the summer time, it’s been raining a lot, I was near a stream. I may have had a scent that attracted them to me, since they were not bothering my husband.
17.  Wiping off the shopping cart before using it
Why it exists: Germs from other shoppers using the cart. Kids sneeze or cough into their hand and then, touch the cart.
18.  Back hurting while sitting at the computer
Why it exists: Chair is uncomfortable and leads to bad posture
19.  Waiting in line at Walmart for 15 minutes to pick up an order
Why it exists: Picking up orders is supposed to be quick and convenient, but it seems like there is only one person working the pick-up area and there is not any organization
20.  Being worried while walking alone
Why it exists: There are a lot of people that kidnap and harm others

Reflection

I found making this list somewhat challenging. Once I really started thinking about situations that bugged me, it was easy to come up with bugs. I reflected a few different times and days on bugs and I think this helped tremendously. However, the challenging part was determining why the bugs existed. Fortunately, after completing about 10 bugs and identifying why they existed, it became easier.

Comments

  1. Hi Brandi, Yes, I had the same situation occur to me. As soon as I began naming a few bugs, it became substantially easier to name more and more of them. Stopping and taking time between brainstorming bugs also helps as well. I think this may be due to the fact that we as entrepreneurs start getting in our head and start thinking our ideas aren’t good enough; when this isn’t the case at all. Excellent observations overall.

My Entrepreneurship Story 3A

My Entrepreneurship Story Entrepreneurship. Some people find this word intimidating; however, my family has a lengthy history of taking the bull by the horns. Let’s begin with my grandpa on my mom’s side, he began working as an electrician in the 1970s alongside my great-uncle. Together, they formed their own electrical business which is still operating to this day. On my dad’s side of my family my grandpa owned and operated a moving company which he built from the ground up. Eventually, he had five different locations across the country. Then, there’s my mom’s mother, my Mimi. She bought a balloon shop and a floral shop. She combined the two and was a successful florist for 15 years. My grandparents’ business ventures must have encouraged my parents to do the same. Today, my dad and mom own an electrical business. My dad started out as an electrician for my grandpa, but decided he wanted to work for himself. So, he left my grandpa’s company and assumed his o...
