My customer avatar is a girl between the ages of 16 and 25. She probably does
not have kids (although she could). This girl watches shows like Grey’s Anatomy,
NCIS, and the Bachelor. Also, she’s
probably single or goes out alone a lot. She may be in high school or college.
She could be one of those young girls that just got her driver’s license and is
eager to go anywhere and everywhere alone because, hellooooo freedom! She may
work a job until 9 or 10 at night which means she has to walk to her car in the
dark. She could be a college student at a big university that walks to her dorm
alone. Whether she’s in high school, college, working, or all of the above, one
thing is for sure—she feels like she needs more protection for herself. She is
worried during those dark hours that she has to walk to her car alone. She
keeps a quick pace and is constantly checking her surroundings while walking
back to her dorm. She needs more protection and she deserves it.

I struggled with developing my customer avatar, as the concept seemed too abstract for me to apply to actually learn something about my consumer; however I was wrong and indeed it led to me finding similarities between my customer and I. I think it did the same for you and made it more clear how you are going to market your product to consumers as a woman to more women.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you've narrowed down your target consumer so well. Your avatar even has that timid, slightly scared look to her. Not that any of your description states that about the consumer, but in that it fits the product's description as well as your consumer! It's to help that scared feeling and feel more confident and secure while out. I think you've narrowed down your target consumer pretty well.
